The melting pot

First impression of Singapore. Everything is clean, convenient, organized, even aseptic and somehow sterilized.
But Singapore, as Singaporeans agree, it’s a melting pot.

Take arab street downtown at night. People seated outside, right next to a Mosque, smoking sisha. The scene would resemble Cairo or Istambul.
But probably the people sitting there are be Malay, or chinese, or Indian (or some alien westener sometimes). Buddhist, muslim, christian or hindu. And they will speak english, or Singlish, but they would understand some Malay, and some Tamil, and some Chinese. Because those cultures, religions and languages have been frictioning for some time in Singapore they have started to melt. Mixed interacial couples, gastronomic influences, tolerance made in Singapore.
